Musical Theatre Contest

VTA is looking to highlight some of our awesome musical theatre talent across Virginia.

We are looking for winners across different divisions:

• Middle School Grades

• High School Grades

• College Students

• Adults

We are looking for:

• At least one minute of a musical theatre song

• Original compositions are accepted

• You’ll record yourself and share a YouTube link when you register

You can compete as a soloist with a partner OR both!

After you submit

A judging panel will look at all entries in your age category and will determine a winner and runner-up in for each age group.

Feedback will be provided from the panel.

Winners will receive:

• A VTA prize pack

• FREE 2025-2026 VTA Membership(this will mean a discount if you decide to come to conference)

• A Coaching session(ideally we would like to offer the winners a coaching session live and in person at the fall conference)

• We would love to highlight you on our social media and feature you at the 2025 Conference in Norfolk

How to Submit

Cost

$15 for VTA Members(attended conference in October 2024)

$20 non-members

Record your entry, upload to YouTube or Google Drive, make the link viewable, save the link, then complete this form. You’ll be prompted for payment by the JotForm.

Deadline 11:59PM on May 4, 2025.

The number of entries will determine the length of time it takes to evaluate, provide feedback, and select the winners!
